About Me

I live in California.  I'm retired, I love to swing dance, travel, read and research my genealogy.  I have a blog to share my research with family: https://swingdancerlady.wordpress.com/2015/03/06/jones-lineage/

I would love to find out more about my Jones lineage and get in touch with distant cousins.

My email is [email protected]

I don't know how I missed your comment in April, but I just saw it today and read your really interesting Wordpress site. My Jones family saga has been neglected to say the least, but now I'm determined to finish it by the end of August. I have hundreds of pages of notes and research; the problem is condensing it and posting it to the website.
I would like to trade information with you and have some questions (and doubts) about some of your Jones ancestors. What source do you have for Samuel Jones 1755-1836 serving in the Rev.War? I have him documented as a devout and Orthodox Quaker affiliated with Joseph Maddocks/Maddox of Wrightsboro GA, who was an extreme pacificist. Samuel and Mary Mote went west to Ohio because their GA land was confiscated after the Rev.War, having been originally a Royal (British) grant. I believe, however, that there were a few nephews who left Wrightsboro and joined the Rebels and received land in GA after the war. If you would be interested in trading with me I would be very happy to hear from you. If you haven't visited my website lately, I have added more recently. I live in West Hollywood (I learned to swing dance when I lived in Miami, but I'm not sure I could do it any more.) Best regards, Marney
