About Me

I and my sisters, are descendants of Francis Jones 1660-1718 and Rachel Newton 1662-1717. They are our 8th great grandparents. Their son Henry 1693-1734 was married to Loveday Archer 1697-1717. He was also married to Eleanor Parke Lindley. Henry and Loveday were the parents of George Jones 1717-1790 and Elizabeth Lindley 1720-1775. They George and Elizabeth had Henry Jones 1741-1818 and Henry married more than once, but my lineage descends from Henry's marriage to Kezia Hickson. Of Henry and Kezia's children, my lineage stems from their son George 1770-1834 and his marriage to wife, Lydia Hobson 1768-1845. The son of George and Lydia that is in my direct line is Henry 1790-1851, who married Hannah Green 1792-1864. Of the children produced by the marriage of Henry Jones and Hannah Green, their son Amos Jones 1820-1905 and his wife, Rebecca Hebron 1824-1897 are our 2nd great grandparents. Amos and Rebecca had Charles Amos Jones 1863-1923 and Charles Amos married Minnie Belle Pickett 1866-1928. Charles Amos and Minnie Belle Pickett are the parents of our paternal grandfather Frank Hebron Jones 1892-1937. Frank Hebron and his wife Bernice Jeannette "Nettie" Lapham had four children. Two children died in infancy. One daughter, Hazel Jean Jones and one son Charles Kenneth Jones survived, but were orphaned at the ages of 13 and 10, respectively, and were raised by their paternal uncle, Ralph Leach Jones. Charles Kenneth Jones is our dad. Charles had four daughters - two by his first wife, Loretta M Theodore (our mother). Our names are Jeri 1952 and Rhonda 1955. Charles and Loretta divorced and he remarried Lucille Lorraine Nichols. That married produced fraternal twins, Elizabeth Ann and Mary Josepha born in 1960. Elizabeth (Liz) and Mary are our half sisters.
